A torchbearer of the industry, Prema Sagar, awarded with The Lifetime Achievement AwardJuly 29, 2021

Prema Sagar, Founding Chairperson, BCW India Group, was recently awarded The Lifetime Achievement Awards, in the Public Relations category, at Exchange4Media Women Achievers Summit and Awards 2021 and the Adgully IMAGEXX Awards 2021.

Both awards applauded her efforts as the flag-bearer of the modern public relations industry—from giving life to Genesis PR (now Genesis BCW), to educating businesses about the importance of public relations and its role in building corporate and brand reputation, to nurturing and mentoring talent. Today, many that Prema has mentored sit in leadership positions in on the public relations consultancy as well as corporate communications side.

Prema, an entrepreneur and an ideas person, drives the India strategy for the BCW India Group and guides the leadership in bringing it alive. Prema has led Genesis BCW since she founded it 28 years ago. Genesis BCW has since then been pushing boundaries and moving people to invent new and integrated communications products and services to meet evolving client needs.

The awards also called out the contribution Prema has made to the industry by giving it some of its firsts—first to develop proprietary tools for reputation management, the first to create and put into practice service quality measurement, first to use technology in our industry, and more recently, first to develop the one-of-its-kind Live! Newsroom.

Always one to foster collaboration, Prema is the Founder-President of the Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI), an organization that encourages the sharing of best practices in the industry. She is also the President and Founding Member of the Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI), which was created to bring the same level of collaboration and knowledge sharing in the public affairs realm.

The second edition of the exchange4media PR and Corporate Communications Women Achievers Summit and Awards brought women leaders and contributors from across the PR and corporate communications fraternity to shed light on the evolving landscape of the communications industry. The awards focus at recognizing and felicitating women leaders and agencies and businesses who have been catalysts at shaping the industry through their sheer commitment and extraordinary work.

The first edition of Adgully IMAGEXX Awards 2021 applauded leaders in the industry who constantly create systems that allow brands to seamlessly communicate at multiple touchpoints.
