LONDON, 30th January 2023 – BCW, a leading global communications agency, today announced the appointment of Paul Herbert as a Senior Director on its London Healthcare team. Herbert will be responsible for growing BCW’s award-winning and fast-growing digital health practice.
Herbert joins BCW from global marketing agency RAPP, where he led large-scale MarTech transformation programmes for healthcare clients. He focused on delivering innovation and data-driven omnichannel communications across a range of healthcare specialisms including patient, disease awareness, HCP engagement and rare diseases.
A multi-disciplinary communication and digital transformation specialist, Herbert will lead BCW UK's digital healthcare offer, deepening the capability at a time when the healthcare industry is increasingly focusing on digital customer experience and looking to better leverage digital channels post-pandemic.
“Our health clients are facing drastically different challenges to those they were facing two years ago," said Tamsin Tierney, Group Managing Director, Healthcare, BCW UK, to whom Herbert reports. "Digital is breaking down siloes in our industry and Paul has a great handle on how we can leverage the latest digital innovation to meet our clients' specific and unique challenges."
“Our digital team has expertise spanning content and influencer marketing, paid social and search, as well as data & analytics," added Kate Matlock, Managing Director, Digital Innovation Group, BCW UK. "Paul brings in-depth knowledge of how to apply all of these specialties to healthcare clients while navigating the unique regulatory challenges of the industry."
“What attracted me to BCW was the opportunity to work on some of the biggest challenges in healthcare today," said Herbert. "Digital has huge potential to ensure that healthcare is accessible and personal. Digital transformation and omnichannel communications are strategic board-level imperatives for all life science companies. We have an incredibly diverse multi-disciplinary team here, and I am looking forward to bringing my experience and energy to help further strengthen the BCW digital offer."
