More About Hemali Bhutani
Healthcare communications is about humans, not medicines or hospitals. No one knows that better than Hemali, who has spent most of her 18-year career in this specialised communications segment. With a passion for storytelling, an understanding of the Indian healthcare industry, and an instinct for consumer behaviour, Hemali leads the GCI Health business in India.
In her role, she counsels clients in developing impactful communications programmes to engage their multiple stakeholders. These include hospitals, doctors, medical technology companies, UN organisations, pharmaceutical companies and NGOs. Hemali has an in-depth understanding of the government programmes and the public health landscape in India. She has extensive experience in conceptualising and implementing integrated communications programmes for large-scale public health initiatives to ensure they reach the maximum number of beneficiaries and deliver impact. Several of the campaigns she has led have won awards at national and international award shows.
Previously, Hemali has worked in a specialised healthcare communications firm. Besides work, Hemali enjoys time with her family, including her two young children.
