NEW YORK, August 3, 2020 – BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe), a leading global communications agency, announced today that Meredith Katz, Senior Vice President, Client Lead, in the agency’s Public Affairs & Crisis Practice in Washington, D.C., has been named to PRWeek’s “40 Under 40” list, the annual profile of the young leaders whose creativity and breakthrough thinking are driving the future of the communications industry.
Katz has been at BCW for more than seven years, and during that time has managed several multimillion-dollar accounts and contributed to key business development efforts and operational initiatives. She leads BCW’s work supporting the 2020 Census on behalf of the U.S. Census Bureau which is part of the Bureau’s $500 million integrated communications campaign with VMLY&R, managing a large cross-functional U.S team whose expertise includes strategic communications, media relations, editorial content development, event planning and crisis management.
Before her current role, Meredith served as Chief of Staff and Director of Strategy for the U.S. CEO of the former Burson-Marsteller, helping to develop and implement programs and offerings related to new business, internal communications and employee engagement. Before that, she was a Director on the Worldwide Headquarters team, where she led strategic initiatives related to improving the company’s brand positioning and corporate culture. Meredith led several thought leadership projects, including the agency’s On-Demand Economy Survey, a quantitative research project on the sharing economy, developed in partnership with TIME magazine and The Aspen Institute.
