BCW’s Tim Rice Named To PRWeek’s 2019 “40 Under 40” ListJuly 30, 2019

NEW YORK, July 29, 2019 – BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe), a leading global communications agency, announced today that Tim Rice, Executive Vice President, Managing Director, Brand Solutions, has been named to PRWeek’s “40 Under 40” list, the annual profile of the new leaders whose innovative thinking and foresight are powering the future of the communications industry.

Over the past 10 years Rice has established himself as a financial communications expert. Based in Pittsburgh, he is Deputy Global Client Leader for Bank of America (BofA), one of BCW’s largest clients, responsible for strategic direction and oversight across BCW’s full portfolio of work for the bank. He is an expert across corporate and brand positioning, executive communications and visibility, strategic media relations, issues management and headline risk mitigation. He is also a core member of BCW’s Northeast Region’s senior leadership team.

“Tim brings deep knowledge of the financial industry, insights and instincts to his role driving the Bank of America business,” said Drew O’Brien, Executive Vice President, Managing Director, Northeast Market Leader and Global Client Leader for Bank of America, BCW, to whom Rice reports. “He also brings the perfect combination of intelligence, reliability and poise in counseling the most senior clients and mentoring our junior associates. We are delighted for PRWeek to have recognized Tim as the star we know he is!”

Rice, who served two stints with the Burson-Marsteller legacy team, honed his financial expertise while at PNC Financial Services Group between his roles at Burson. He oversaw various consumer and corporate media relations programs as the Pittsburgh-based bank worked to emerge from the 2008-2009 financial crisis. In that role, he was day-to-day external communications lead for several divisions of the bank and played a key role in taking the bank onto Twitter and Facebook.

Rice is very active both for the industry and in his community. He is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh and is the Western Pennsylvania Alumni Representative for the alumni association of his alma mater, the University of Albany. He is a member of the Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania Area School District parent volunteer organization and serves as Vice President of the board of directors for the town’s youth baseball and softball association.
