NEW YORK, January 5, 2023 – BCW, a leading global communications agency, announced today that Maxine Winer has joined the agency as Executive Vice President, Market Leader, Chicago, effective January 3. Winer will be responsible for business growth, talent management and client satisfaction in the market.

Across Winer’s more than 25-year career she has served in leadership roles in both agency and in-house capacities with deep experience in financial/professional services, consumer, food, healthcare, tourism and government.

“Max brings an enviable combination of broad sector expertise, strong operational acumen and rigorous focus on client service excellence to her role as BCW’s Chicago market leader,” said Mary Corcoran, President, North America, BCW. “Max is also committed to building strong, inclusive teams focused on professional growth. She has the right mix of hard and soft skills to ensure we’re moving people every day. I’m excited for what Max will bring to our business,” Corcoran added.

Before joining BCW, Winer was President and Chief Operating Officer of DiGennaro Communications (DGC), a NYC-based boutique agency specializing in B2B PR for the ad/media/marketing industry as well as tech and corporate clients. Prior to DGC, Max spent eight years as Senior Vice President, Senior Partner and General Manager of the Chicago office of FleishmanHillard. She was also a member of the firm’s Senior Management Committee. Under Winer’s leadership, FleishmanHillard’s Chicago market became one of the most successful in the agency’s U.S. network.

Before joining FleishmanHillard in 2010, Max spent five years with Edelman, where she was Executive Vice President and Deputy General Manager of the Reputation Management Practice in the agency’s Chicago office. Prior to that, Winer ran her own Chicago-based communications consultancy for five years. She took that step after spending several years as Senior Vice President at MS&L/Chicago, where she ran the Corporate Practice.

Earlier in her career, Max was vice president of marketing for PNC Mortgage, a subsidiary of PNC Financial Services Group, and also served as vice president of professional services marketing at the Financial Relations Board in Chicago. She began her career at HomeFed Bank in San Diego, where she handled both internal and external communications.

“BCW has an enviable offering that combines world-class c-suite counsel with leading edge creative and digital execution, allowing for powerful, channel agnostic storytelling that moves people to take action for clients,” said Winer. “I am looking forward to further building BCW as a powerhouse brand in Chicago and across the midwest.”
