BCW Announces New Leadership Team and Structure in SwitzerlandDecember 17, 2020

LAUSANNE, December 17, 2020 – BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe), a leading global communications agency, today announced a new leadership and structure for its Switzerland operations aimed at giving clients access to the agency’s full range of services across its Lausanne and Zurich offices.

Central to the change is the appointment of Greg Curchod as new market leader, who will assume responsibility for both the core BCW Switzerland business as well as BCW Sports, a global centre of excellence, headquartered in Lausanne.

Greg Curchod, a Swiss national and formerly a Senior director in BCW’s Lausanne office, will be supported by Leonie Kelly, a Director, who will lead the agency’s Zurich operations and Tanya Heimlich-Ng Yuen, a Senior Director, who will lead the Lausanne office. Curchod will report to Scott Wilson, CEO of BCW Europe & Africa.

Kelly recently joined BCW Switzerland from advertising agency Saatchi + Saatchi where she was a Business Director. Heimlich-Ng Yuen has worked with BCW Sport for more than 12 years.

Lars Haue-Pedersen will continue as Managing Director of BCW Sports, the global BCW sports practice operating from Lausanne, and he will retain his place on the BCW Switzerland board.

Scott Wilson, President BCW Europe & Africa, said: “BCW is one of the few international agencies present in Switzerland and, and as PRovoke Media’s 2020 Global Agency of the Year and having been named the top-ranked agency on PRovoke’s Global Creative Index, we are committed to making the best of BCW available to brands and businesses in the important Swiss market.

“The changes we are announcing today are designed to set BCW up for continued success in Switzerland in 2021,” Wilson continued. Greg’s promotion to market leader of BCW Switzerland, the extended leadership role of Tanya and the arrival of Leonie is therefore a natural next step, which will benefit all our Swiss based clients and strengthen connections between both our Swiss offices as well as the wider international BCW network. Together, they are a fantastic leadership team to create impact for our clients by moving the people who move their businesses forward.

“Looking forward to 2021 and post-COVID, we also see a huge opportunity for a resurgent BCW Sports business to continue to deliver great work to clients worldwide. Today’s restructure is also designed to allow Lars to fully focus on the continued global expansion of BCW Sports, further extending our offer into the Middle East, North America and Asia, Wilson said.”

Greg Curchod, Market Leader BCW Switzerland, said:

“We are delighted with our expansion and the continued strong support from the BCW leadership. I feel privileged to have been given this chance to lead our very strong team here in Switzerland together with Tanya and Leonie, and I look forward to continuing supporting Lars and BCW Sports. We have recently seen many encouraging signs of new and exciting ambitions among our client both here in Switzerland and in the international sports event market, and we now have a platform for future growth which we look forward to realising”.
