BCW Appoints Head of Creativity for Europe & AfricaJuly 29, 2020

LONDON/FRANKFURT, 29 July 2020 – BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe), a leading global communications agency, today announced the appointment of Wolfgang Lünenbürger-Reidenbach as Head of Creativity, Europe & Africa, a new position for the agency.

Lünenbürger, who takes on this regional role with immediate effect, is charged with deepening BCW’s commitment to creativity across the region, integrating creative, data, strategy and technology to solve client problems.

Wolfgang first joined BCW five years ago to lead the former Cohn & Wolfe’s German market. He was named CEO of BCW Germany in 2018 overseeing the firm’s Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich offices

“Creativity is what sets BCW apart from our competition and is a powerful differentiator,” says Lünenbürger. “Now is the perfect time to scale our creativity and to strengthen and grow centers of excellence across the region.”

In his new role, Lünenbürger will work closely with the BCW’s award-winning teams in all Europe & Africa markets to establish a consistent proposition and share best practice in creating and delivering fully integrated, digital-first and data-led creative campaigns.

Prior to joining BCW, Wolfgang was central to the creative and digital transformation of achtung, the German agency. He has also held a regional role at Edelman, building up Edelman Digital EMEA and serving as Head of Social Media Europe.

“Since joining the company, Wolfgang has impressed clients and colleagues alike with his passion and ability to deliver innovative and stand-out campaigns,” said Scott Wilson, President, Europe & Africa, BCW, to whom Lünenbürger continues to report. “In this new environment, it is critical that BCW builds on its existing reputation for creativity by establishing a progressive and differentiated approach.

“Rather than resting on our laurels, this is the perfect time to push on to the next level, and Wolfgang’s expertise in data, technology, strategy, creative and channel understanding, as well as his knowledge in paid, owned as well as earned media, make him the ideal person to take on this important role.”

In addition to his new regional role, Lünenbürger will assume the role of Chairman and ‘Ambassador of Tomorrow’ for BCW Germany, passing the operative and executive management of the firm to a new leadership team. The new market leadership at BCW Germany is in place and will be announced in August.
