LONDON, 9 July 2019 – BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe), a leading global communications agency, today announced the appointment of Steve Hawkes, The Sun’s Deputy Political Editor as Director and a newly created role of Head of Strategic Media in London.
Currently Deputy Political Editor of The Sun, Steve has been in Westminster with the UK’s best-selling national newspaper since December 2013. He was previously The Sun’s Business Editor for almost five years. He has also he worked at the Times, Daily Telegraph, The Mirror, PA and the Evening Standard in a journalism career spanning 25 years.
He will join BCW’s UK team as a Director of Issues and Public Affairs and also Head of Strategic Media, providing the very best senior strategic communications advice and media counsel to BCW’s clients across its London office.
